OBITUARY

Forks resident John H. ``Curley'' Basemore died in Port Angeles at age 78.
He was born in Tupelo, Miss., to John Fredrick and Lee (Dozier) Basemore.
He married Mayone E. Forbes in Las Vegas on Feb. 10, 1947. They divorced in 1969.
He married Evelyn Yancy in Cannon City, Colo., on Aug. 28, 1971. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Basemore is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Candice M. and Walter Hendrickson of Forks and Judy and Martin Dessoffy of Arcadia, Calif.; sister Mozelle Jeffcoats of Mississippi; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son John C. ``Skip'' Forbes, sisters Morene Carr and Modena Stone, and two grandsons.
