In Memory of
Nancy Diane (Holder) Bass
June 4, 1966 - May 2, 2010

Nancy Diane Bass, age 43, died at home on Sunday, May 2, 2010 after a prolonged battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).

Born June 4th, 1966 in Shawnee, Ok, to Kenneth and Elaine Holder, she attended Shawnee schools and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1988. On August 6th, 1988 Nancy married Brian Bass, and moved to Carrollton, TX.

After working as an Engineer in Dallas, Nancy decided to follow her dream of becoming a teacher. She taught math and science for 5 years at Carrollton Christian Academy and 4 years at American Heritage Academy before transitioning to the curriculum team for 2 years. She retired in 2008.

Nancy will be especially remembered for her unfaltering faith in Jesus Christ, and her desire to put God first in everything. Her many friends, students and fellow teachers will remember her as a dedicated, caring and loving teacher and friend.

Survivors include husband Brian Bass, children Michael (14) and Carolyn (12); parents Kenneth and Elaine Holder, and brothers Brian Holder, Dwight Holder, and Roger Holder.

Services will be held Saturday, May 8th at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church of Carrollton (2201 E. Hebron, Carrollton, TX 75007).

Many thanks to the numerous friends and family, who lifted us up in prayer, supported us, provided meals and helped care for Nancy. You will never know the impact you have made on our family. We love you dearly!

In lieu of Memorial contributions, please send donations to the ALS Association, www.alsa.org.

Arrangements under the direction of Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX.
