OBITUARY

Beckner, Floyd Lee 82, of Farmers Branch, Texas, AKA Flo-B, FL, Dad, and G-pop, passed sweetly into Heaven Friday, May 14th surrounded by his loved ones. He was awaited in heaven by his beautiful wife Christine and favorite dog Zia. Floyd will live on in the hearts of his friends and his family: Daughter Joyce and her husband Walt Gruenwald, son James "Bubba" Beckner and his wife Sally, and daughter Martha and her husband Wayne Reynolds. Floyd has ten grandchildren: Fancy Kalb-Perez, Michelle and her husband Shannon Sark, Amber, Alexis and Hank Reynolds, Carrie and Donovan Beckner, and Jason Gruenwald and his wife Bonnie, and six great grand children; Lauren and Lizabeth Sark, Cyrus and Casey Kalb, Robert Perez, and Lucca Reynolds-Chenault. Floyd honorably served in the US Army and upon discharge married his bride, Christine Smith, in 1949. Floyd lived to serve, and said "if I can't serve and help others, then I just want to go home to Jesus." If you ever met Floyd, you were his friend, and you were blessed to have known him. He positively shaped the lives of so many, and he is an inspiration to all. "Well done my good and faithful servant." He will be missed and always remembered. A private family burial took place on Monday. A celebration service and reception open to all will be held for Floyd on Thursday May, 20th 2:30pm at the Farmers Branch Historical Park, 2540 Farmers Branch Lane, Farmers Branch, TX. Please come and bring your memories of this great man. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society .
