MOORINGSPORT, LA - A memorial service for Norman Carl Benedict, 46, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday January 11, 2005 at St. Matthias Episcopal Church Shreveport, LA. The Rev. John W. Raisch, assisted by the Rev. Morgan S. Allen and the Rev. Dr. Benedict G Songy will be officiating. Burial will be Monday, January 10 at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. A lifelong friend the Rev. Harman Woods will be officiating.
Norman Carl Benedict was born in Dallas, Texas on June 16, 1958 and passed from this Earth on January 5, 2005. Mr. Benedict was preceded death by his mother-in-law Lois Peddington Musgrove. He is survived by his wife, Mary, Father, Harry Yandell Benedict of Houston, TX; sons: Peyton Benedict and Connor Benedict of Mooringsport; daughters: Devaney Benedict of Mooringsport and Sharon Sistruck and husband Mark and their son Coleman of Quitman, TX; sister, Cynthia Thompson and husband Gordon and their daughter Sara May of Ruidoso, NM and numerous relatives and friends.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made "In memory of Norman Carl Benedict" to St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004-1001
