Obituary

Richard Lawrence Blair, 80, of Texarkana Texas, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 with his family at his home. Mr. Blair was born in Dayton, Kentucky, raised in Lenoir City, Tennessee, a Lenoir City High School Graduate - class of 1949, attendee of The University of Tennessee prior to serving in the US Army-training cadets at USMA-West Point, as well as, career draftsman, design engineer and retiree of Hilite Industries, Carrollton, Texas. He enjoyed family, friends and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Ruth (Watson) Blair of Madisonville, TN. Survivors include: three sons, Richard Lawrence (Larry) Blair, II of Grapevine, TX; Howard Douglas (Doug) Blair of Arlington, TX; David Blair of Garland, TX; and one daughter, Diana Blair McKinney of Texarkana, TX, one daughter-in- law, Dora Blair, one son-in-law, Ray McKinney; grandchildren include Victoria (Tori) Blair, Bryan Blair, and Richard Lawrence Blair, III, as well as, David Joseph, Joshua Ray, and Kendall McKinney.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch with Bo Castleman officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop Cemetery Park in Carrollton, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-8 p.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton, Texas.

Memorial gift donations can be made to the American Cancer Society online in lieu of flowers.
