OBITUARY

BOENKER - HENRY M.

BOENKER , HENRY M., age 72, of Lewisville, passed away Saturday. December 27, 2003, at Medical Center of Lewisville. He was born September 10, 1931 in Lewisville to Daniel H. and Edith May Justiss Boenker . He was a Graduate of Lewisville High School and North Texas State University. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Henry was one of the last surviving Lewisville Volunteer Firefighters. He was a former Lewisville City Councilman, was a lifetime member of the Lewisville Lions Club and formerly on the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. In 1974 Henry was named Lewisville Man of the Year. He was a member of the Lewisville VFW and a member of the Lewisville Old Town Business Association. Henry owned and operated Lewisville Lumber and Hardware for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lewisville. He is survived by his daughters, Jean Boenker Hood, Carol Sue Ware and her husband, George. and Karen Boenker all of Lewisville; by his sister, Sue Ann Durham and her husband, Marshall of Lewisville and by grandchildren, Marianne Hood, Garrison Ware and Jennifer and Tommy Feaster. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and by many special friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Feaster on April 3, 2001, by his former spouse, Mary Boenker on July 20, 2000 and by his brother, Bobby Boenker on October 11, 1998. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at First United Methodist Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow in Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. Reverend John Mollet will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
