Hebron began varsity play in 2000 and the Hawks made the play-offs for the first time in 2002. Hebron won the Class 4A Division II State Championship in 2005 with a 16-0 record. While at Hebron, the Hawks won five district championships and coach Brazil was named District Coach of the Year 6 times and State Coach of the Year in 2005. In 2014 he was the recipient of the Tom Landry Award from the Texas High School Coaches Association Board of Directors in recognition of service and contributions to high school coaching.
