OBITUARY

KENT STEVEN BREESE
DECEMBER 30, 1965 - MARCH 18, 2023

Kent Breese was born December 30th of 1965 in California with parents Leonard and Pat Breese. He passed away on March 18th of 2023 in his home in Dallas, Texas after fighting with colon cancer.
He attended R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas and graduated in 1984 where he received a scholarship for shooting sports. After high school he then went into the United States Army. He proudly served 12 years where he obtained the rank of sergeant and received the Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Award, and Humanitarian Service Medal.

After Leaving the military he served his community as a preacher in Kileen, Texas and worked in construction where he left his kids’ initials engraved in hidden spots on projects.

Some of his personal interests and hobbies were hunting, dancing, basketball, football, and fishing. His son Rick and Kent would always go fishing at Lake Lewisville all night long and then they would go to work together the next day. He would spit his dip into the water and say it would attract the fish. They would go all over to ponds, lakes, and fishing holes that Kent and Sam would go to and he loved to show those spots to his son.

He loved being around his family and creating memories such as walking his daughter down the aisle and loved to talk about it to everyone who would listen. He would love to sit the grandkids, nieces, and nephews on his knees and sing to them whenever the opportunity arises. He would always joke around and tell jokes to everyone and he would always smile no matter what was going on in his personal life.

He was always willing to talk to anyone and everyone that would give him the time of day and he was a social butterfly and was friendly to everyone he encountered.

These traits of his is how he was able to attract the attention of Rebecca Hill. Rebecca’s brother Sam Hill and Kent were best friends growing up and one day when they were hanging out Rebecca was there and caught the attention of Kent’s eye and went to go sit next to her and talk to her. Rebecca wasn’t interested at first but with his jokes and that smile of his he always had and his playful demeanor, he was able to win her heart over and got married on January 4th, 1984. They were together for 39 years and he is remembered by his wife Rebecca Breese, His son Rick Breese, and his daughter Koby Rardin.
