Robert Wayne Bronaugh
JULY 8, 1952 – NOVEMBER 12, 2023

Robert “Bobby” Wayne Bronaugh, 71, of Carrollton, TX passed away on November 12, 2023. Bobby was born on July 8, 1952 to James H. Bronaugh and Billie Bronaugh Harrell. He was raised in Carrollton, TX where he graduated from R. L. Turner high school in 1970. Bobby married his wife, Sherry Norton in 1974; they were married for 49 years.

Bobby had many job titles in his life, including audio engineer, construction worker, and mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. His favorite title was Dad and then grandpa, which his grandchildren lovingly referred to him as “Bobby.” He enjoyed many hobbies, including coaching little league and high school summer league baseball, fishing, playing his guitar, and being the biggest fan of his children and grandchildren. Bobby liked watching the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers, the Green Bay Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs, and he loved the University of Texas at Austin. It has even been said that Bobby bled burnt orange.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, brother Thomas E. Bronaugh, and his beloved dog Rhoda.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Sherry Bronaugh, children Robert “Lynn” Bronaugh and Summer Brown(Aaron), grandchildren Micah, Braden and Rhys Bronaugh, and Emma, A.J., and Bella Brown, and brother James W. Bronaugh, sister-in-law Patty Bronaugh, and sister-in-law Sharon Bronaugh. Bobby is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00pm at Rhoton Funeral Home, 1511 South Interstate 35E, Carrollton, Tx 75006.
