Northside Baptist Has New Minister

The Rev. Billy R. Buckingham has assumed the pastorate of Northside Baptist Church, Denton Dr. at Whitlock Lane, Carrollton effective February 12.

Reverend Buckingham comes from the Broadway Baptist Church of Paducah, Ky., where he pastored for the past seven years. While in Kentucky the church experienced a phenomenal growth to over a thousand members. A daily radio program and television ministry was also conducted that reached into several states.

He was pastor of Northside Baptist Church before leaving to assume the duties of the Paducah church so actually he is "just coming home," he said.

"Bro. Bill," as he is known by many, attended Texas Wesleyan College in Ft. Worth and has a Divinity degree from the Bible Baptist Seminary in Arlington, Texas. He is married and has one son, Jerry, who is a freshman at R. L. Turner High School

The Buckinghams, Bill, Ann and Jerry, will reside at 1116 E. Alan in Carrollton.
