OBITUARY

Mrs. Edith Buckner
Mrs. Edith Buckner, 73, a resident of Longview since 1971, died Thursday morning at a nursing home here.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mel Herring officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
A native of Rockwall County, Mrs. Buckner was a graduate of Texas Woman's University and taught Home economics for 340 years in schools in the Dallas area. She moved to Longview from Dallas

Mrs. Edith Buckner
Services for Mrs. Edith Buckner, 73, of Longview will be 4 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home with the Rev. Mel Herring officiating.
Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
Mrs. Buckner died Thursday morning in a local nursing home.
She had been a Longview resident since 1971. A native of Rockwall County, Mrs. Buckner was a graduate of Texas Women's University and taught home economics for 30 years.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and was active in the Longview Newcomers Club, Longview Women's Club and Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Walter Hooge of Longview, and three grandchildren.
The family asks memorial be sent to the United Parkinson Foundation at 220 South State St., Chicago, Ill, 60604, or the Wesley United Methodist Church.
