OBITUARY

William Daniel Bush, 70, of Edmond, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, August 27, 2019. Dan was born in Kansas City, Missouri to James William and Nadine Amelia Bush. He graduated with honors from R. L. Turner High School Carrollton, Texas in 1966. Dan’s first job was as a copy boy at the Dallas Morning News, and he spent 40 years in Journalism. He retired from the Oklahoman in 2007. Dan was a gifted musician, mastering the tenor saxophone in high school. He found his voice later in life and spent the last 12 years with the church choir at United Methodist Church of the Servant. Dan was a sports photographer and reporter at R.L. Turner H.S., and wrote for the local paper. He remained an avid sports fan, supporting all the Oklahoma University’s Sports Teams, Thunder Basketball, Dallas Cowboys and The Texas Rangers. Dan was survived by his wife Catharine Ann Bush; daughter, Nancy Michelle Sanders and husband Geoffrey; son, Christopher Michael Howell; grandchildren, Catharine Jeanne, Patrick Gordon Sanders; two brothers, James David Bush, Mark Dennis Bush; two sisters, Marjorie Diane Guthrie, Shirley Deanene Middleton. Dan treasured all his nephews and nieces, and embraced all his great-nieces and nephews. Services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 7 September, in the Chapel of the Cross at Church of the Servant, Oklahoma City.

RLT Our brother William Daniel Bush died of a serious heart condition Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from R.L. Turner High School with the class of 1967.
