OBITUARY

H. E. Butler Dies In Post

POST (Special) - H. E. Butler, 74, a Post resident since 1945, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in Garza County Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Farmers Branch, Butler was a retired oil Field pumper. He was married to Ruby Kelly Dec. 24, 1916. He was a deacon in the Post First Baptist Church.
Services are set for 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Post with the Rev. Joe Vernon, pastor, and the Rev. Claude Cone, pastor of the Lubbock Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Terrace cemetery under the direction of Hudman Funeral Home of Post.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Stanley of Post; a brother, W. E. Butler of Cross Plains; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
