Rene Caskey
1947 - 2010

Ravenna, Texas -- Graveside services for Rene Danelle Kemp Caskey, 62, of Ravenna, will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 in Arledge Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Bro. John Hawk will officiate. Rene passed away Tuesday night, Jan. 12, 2010 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison after a courageous five-month battle with cancer.

Rene was born March 8, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas the daughter of Kenneth Kemp and Oleta Johns Kemp. She grew up and graduated from high school in Carrollton/Framers Branch. She attended Tyler Junior College and Sam Houston State College.

Rene married James Robert "Jim" Caskey, Jan. 14, 2000 and he preceded her in death July 10, 2008. She was a field coordinator for RSVP at Paris Jr. College. Rene loved to travel and enjoyed cruises most of all. She also enjoyed growing plants in her greenhouse, and doing yard work.

Rene was a kind and sweet lady showing an inner strength of love and caring. She was a member of Savoy Church of Christ.

Rene was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brandon Strong and father Ken Kemp.

Mother: Oleta Kemp of McKinney

Brothers: Keith Kemp and wife, Linda of Whitewright

Monty Kemp and wife, Beverly of Godley, TX

Stepsons: Wesley Caskey of Richardson

Everett Caskey of Brownsville

3 Grandchildren and some very special nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.
