Obituary for Eloise Ann Cockrill

Eloise Ann Cockrill, 75, of Aubrey, TX, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 in Aubrey, TX. Eloise was born July 9, 1945 in Pilot Point, TX to Joseph Strittmatter and Margaret Henzler. Eloise married Buddy Cockrill on April 22, 1967.

Eloise graduated from Pilot Point High School and continued her education earning a bachelor’s degree in education from North Texas State. She was a teacher for 25 years and worked for the Carrollton ISD and Pilot Point ISD. Eloise was a loving wife, mother, and devoted grandmother.

Eloise is survived by her husband, Buddy of Aubrey, TX; son, Jeff Cockrill and wife Kelly of Haslet, TX; daughter, Lori Cockrill of Richardson, TX; two grandchildren, Kamryn and Kassidy Cockrill; brothers, Jim Strittmatter and wife Joyce of Pilot Point, TX and Harold Strittmatter and wife Sue of Georgetown, TX; sisters, Martha Tempesta and husband Gerry of Milwaukee, WI and Janice Wallace and husband Bruce of Georgetown, TX.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret; and brother David Strittmatter.

Rosary will be held 1:00PM- 2:00PM, Monday, November 30, 2020 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:00PM with Father Martin officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.slaymemorialfuneralhome.com.
