OBITUARY
 
Curtis Leo Coughran, Jr

Curtis Leo Coughran, Jr, of Jay, Okla. was born April 28, 1946 in Hugo, Okla. He passed from this life into glory May 4, 3013 at the age of 67 after a long illness. Leo worked as a carpenter, and held a HVAC license. He worked as the maintenance director of the Grove Public Schools for 24 years.

Leo was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Leo Coughran, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Jan Coleman Coughran, whom he married in August of 1968. Also surviving his children; Cody Lee Coughran and wife Sandra Salazar. Kit Lance Coughran, all of Grove. Four grandchildren; Karen Phelps, Chase Coughran, Kurtis Coughran and Isabella Coughran. His mother, Mildred Daniel of Grove. Sister; Kay Brixey and husband Andy. Brother Ray Coughran and wife Margaret. Special friend Pilar Hoche. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Leo loved boxing, baseball, and the Bible. He enjoyed hunting in the hills of Zena, playing chess and coaching. He had a “dry” sense of humor and loved to joke with family and friends.

Services were 7 p.m. Thursday May 9, 2013 at the Church of the Shepherd in Grove. Services were entrusted to Nichols Funeral Home, Grove.
