Services for Mr. Don Crawford, 68, of Jefferson, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Whatley and Rev. Mark Markle officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the funeral home.

Mr. Crawford was born on October 25, 1940 in Cleburne, Texas to his parents, Joyce Jane Hudgins Crawford and Wade McDonald Crawford. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Jefferson. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and a member of the Turkey Federation. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, and be outdoors.

He is survived by: four children; Mary Lynn Crawford of Avinger, Marla Abernathy, and husband J.P., of Jefferson, Clifton Crawford, and wife Mary, of Ft. Worth, and Marcie Whatley, and husband Brian, of Kildare; parents Wade and Joyce Crawford of Jefferson; the mother of his children, Martha Crawford of Avinger; one brother Ted Crawford, and his wife Debbie, of Lewisville; four grandchildren, Jaylie, Jared, Caleb, and Joshua; and numerous nephews and other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Perry, Richard Sharp, Jeremy Crawford, Dustin Crawford, Chase Crawford, and Ron Barker.
