OBITUARY

Bessie E. Crone
Funeral services for Bessie Ellen Crone, 83, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Collinsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Grover Miller and hank Davenport officiating. Burial will be at Perry Cemetery in Carrollton. The body will lie in state at Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home Sunday.
Mrs. Crone was born Nov. 15, 1892 in Tennessee and had been a resident of Denton until 1974 when she moved to Wills Point. She died Saturday at home.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Crone of Wills Point; a son, Johnny Crone of Denton; six daughters, Mrs. Billy Taylor and Mildred McBride, both of Denton.  Evelyn Brown of Wylie, Mrs. Tommy Gillentine of Wills Point, Mrs. Alamo McGarrah of Dayton and Bessie Gregory of Lewisville; a brother, Marshall Smiley of Seagoville; 32 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William Brown, Bobby Gillentine, Thomas Crone, Fredrick McGarrah, Dale Fain and Lawrence W. Gregory, Jr.
Lucas-Halden Funeral Home in Lewisville will be in charge of arrangements.
