OBITUARY

Little Elm Girl Dies; Four In Family Sick
LITTLE ELM - Flu and pneumonia struck hard at one Little Elm family, taking the life of one child and causing her two brothers, a sister and grandmother to be hospitalized.
Funeral services were held Monday for Joann Crowder, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Crowder. The girl died Sunday at Flow Memorial Hospital, Denton, where her brothers, Tony, 13, Rusty, 5, and sister, Joyce, 9, were treated for severe cases of flu.
Joann's grandmother, Mrs. Ada Bays, also is ill with the respirator disease.
The services were at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel in Carrollton with the Rev. Jernigan, pastor of the Little Elm Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Perry Cemetery, Carrollton.
Joann was born in Little Elm on Feb 17, 1942.
