OBITUARY

CRUMP
TOMMY JUSTIN, 19, passed away at Parkland Memorial Hospital on Friday evening. He was born on May 29, 1973 in Dallas. He was a 1991 graduate of Newman Smith High School and currently a student at Brookhaven Community College. He was employed with Don Morgan Boots in Mesquite. Survived by his parents, Wayne & Diane Crump of Carrollton, brother, Jeffrey Crump of Carrollton, sister, Christi Crump of Carrollton; grandmother, Vanetta crump of Pilot Point. Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 1992 at the HUFF-SLAY FUNERAL CHAPEL in Pilot Point, Texas. Pallbearers, Michael Blankenship, Kevin Brett, Doug Illingsworth <?> , Calvin Holcomb, Randy Watkins and Lester Harris. Visitation will be from 7-8 P.M. at the funeral home

Services for Thomas Justin "Tommy" Crump, a college student who was fatally shot Friday during the Texas-OU weekend rally, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Huff-Slay Funeral Home Chapel in Pilot Point.
The 19-year-old Dallas native graduated from Carrollton's Newman Smith High School last year. He was studying business at Brookhaven college in Dallas and worked at a Mesquite boot store.
Mr. Crump was slain this weekend during the annual festivities involving students from the University of Texas and Austin and the University of Oklahoma.
Police said Mr. Crump was shot at the corner of Houston and Commerce streets shortly after 11 p.m. Friday. Mr. Crump, who was riding in the bed of a truck, was shot in the chest after a minor traffic accident involving the truck and another vehicle. He later died at Parkland Memorial Hospital. No arrests have been made by late Sunday.
He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Diane Crump, a brother, Jeffrey Crump, and a sister, Christi Crump all of Carrollton; and a grandmother, Vanetta Crump of Pilot Point.

DALLAS (AP) - One man was killed and two other criticall wounded. One by a police officer - In gunfire that broke out among Texas-Oklahoma revelers on the eve of the teams' annual football game, authorities say.
Arrests in downtown Dallas were about 50 percent higher than during last year's pre-game frolics, authorities said.
Each year, tens of thousands of people gather on Commerce Street on the night before the Cotton Bowl matchup. Detective Sandra Ortega-DeKing said there were 91 arrests stemming from the revelry, compared to 68 last year.
At about 11:15 p.m. Friday, multiple shots rang out in Dealey Plaza after a car twice bumped the back of a pickup eastbound on commerce, witnesses told police.
There were heated words, and a passenger in the car pulled out a gun and began firing, police were told. Tom Justin Crump, 19, of Carrollton was shot in the chest, witnesses said. Crump died at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Minutes later, a few blocks away, Russell Dominguez, 26, was shot down in the street. Emergency workers performed CPR, and Dominguez was taken to Parkland. His condition was serous Saturday, a Parkland spokeswoman said.
Witnesses said they heard three shots and saw a man running with a gun.
Detective Ortega-DeKing said a police officer shot a 19-year-old man who had been firing into a crowd and aimed his gun at the officer. Homicide detectives Saturday refused to release the names of the officer and teen-ager.
