Farmers Branch
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Langley of Ponder are here in response to a message of the serious illness of Mrs. Langleys father, M. C. Dooley.
Mr. Dooly has since succumbed to his illness and was buried Thursday afternoon. We expect to have particulars next week.

M.C. Dooley Dead

On May 19, 1920 Mr. M. C. Dooley, a well known and highly respected farmer and stock man of Dallas county passed away at his home in the Midway community where he had lived for over 31 years. Mr. Dooley was born Jan. 23, 1853, in Dawson county Georgia; was married to Miss Elizabeth Hope October 12, 1871. To this union ten children were born, seven of which survive. There are twelve grandchildren and Mr. Dooley also leaves behind four sisters and one sister-in-law. Mr. Dooley was ill only a few days, his powerful frame was laid low by some intestinal trouble.
He came to Texas shortly after his marriage; was an admirable man in many ways, exact and painstaking in business affairs, proving himself a good businessman in all respects, congenial and possessed of the true Southern hospitality. The latch string was always out for any friend or neighbor who passed his way. Whatever he undertook he did well and when he built, it was not just for today.
He was a good husband, a kind father and loved his grandchildren with the same love he had for his children, they all will miss him. May he rest in peace in a better world than this.
Interment took place at the Webb's Chapel cemetery two miles east of Farmer's Branch, Rev. G. W. Good officiating. The honorary pall bearers were his old friends : Ossie Scott, Ewen Buchanan, Isaac Johnston, S. S. Noell, W. Taliaferro. Brownlee Langley.
The sons and daughters who survive their father are: H.O., and L.L. Dooley of Dallas, Homer, Harry, Miss Alpha Dooley and Mrs. J.A. Verbick of Farmers Branch and Mrs. R. G. Langley of Ponder, Texas, and in her grief, the life time companion, a sorrowing wife and mother, Mrs. Dooley.
