BIOGRAPHY

Robert C. Dye, a Farmers Branch native, is the youngest-ever elected mayor in city history. Since becoming mayor, Robert has served on the CFB Rotary, served as a Chamber of Commerce board member for both Farmers Branch and Metrocrest chambers and is currently the Vice President of the Metroplex Mayors Association. He has served on the CFBISD District Improvement Council, the CFBISD Citizens’ Facility Advisory Committee, the CFBISD Bond Advisory Committee and the DISD Site Based Decision Making Committee.

He has also given his time through community service work with Metrocrest Services and regularly reads to children at our libraries and schools. Additionally, Robert volunteers at the Firehouse Theatre because he recognizes the importance of working to build opportunities for arts and culture in our city.

Mayor Dye played in the local sports leagues, participating in youth service organizations, attending our local schools (Stark, Field and Turner), and building his base here as he got older.

Mayor Dye graduated from Texas Tech University with a triple major in finance, economics and accounting. He received his MBA from Southern Methodist University in finance and real estate. Robert is a self-employed, full-time commercial real estate developer. He is also part owner / investor in several local small businesses.
