Shirley Edwards
Services for Shirley Allen Edwards, 59, Tool, were held March 27, 2007, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with Rusty Ryon officiating. Interment was in Malakoff Cemetery.
Edwards was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Athens to the late Elvis Wiley and Edna Ramona Harris Allen and died March 24, 2007, in a Tyler hospice.
She was a graduate of Carrollton High School and resided in Irving 35 years before moving to Tool four years ago.
Survivors include her husband Murray Edwards, Tool; son Glenn Murray and his wife Anna, Irving; brothers Elvis W. Allen and his wife Connie, Billy Ray Allen and his wife Lisa, all of Athens; grandchildren Kaylee and Celeste Edwards.
Pallbearers were Mark McCrary, Todd Sagrades, Chris Allen, Danny Ventrca, Derek Allen, Wesley Allen and Fred Foley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leukemia Research American Cancer society, 8900 Carpenter Freeway, Dallas, TX 75247.
