Alan Ellis of Farmers Branch, Texas, went to be with his Lord on April 1, 2015
surrounded by his loving family. Brad was born on December 29, 1947 in Hamilton,
Texas to Melvin and Carrie Ellis.
While attending R. L. Turner High School, Brad began employment at C.B. Skinner
Mobil. From there he got a job working at Forklift Sales & Service, then Barns
Lumber and Manufacturing. It was at Darr Equipment where Brad finally found his
home, being employed for a wonderful 29 years. He retired on March 28, 2015 to
spend more time with his loving family.
Brad met the love of his life, Linda and they have been married 46 years. They
have been members of the Royal Haven Baptist Church since 1980.
Brad is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Ellis; mother Carrie Ellis;
children LaJeana Thomas (Phillip) of Carrollton, Tina Scott (Dennis) of Farmers
Branch; grandchildren Cole and Delanie Ariola of Farmers Branch; and his
step-grandchildren Jaiden Thomas of College Station, and Reed Thomas of
Lewisville. He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Delbert Ellis; brothers
Donald K. Ellis and Doc Ellis; and spouse Saundra Ellis.
Visitation for Brad will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00
PM at Rhoton Funeral Home, located at 1511 N Interstate 35E, Carrollton, Texas
75006. Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Rhoton
Funeral Home with burial to follow at
Hilltop Memorial Park.
