OBITUARY

ESCAMILLA, Rachel Diane
Rachel was born on June 4, 1986 and went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 11, 2019. She is survived by her parents, Hector and Soila Escamilla, sister Helen, grandmother Mary Luna, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton; earned a BA degree from Austin College; a MSSW degree (Magna Cum Laude) from UTA; and a Master of Divinity degree from the SMU Perkins School of Theology. She loved to help others. She was a CASA volunteer, a Victim Services Specialist at MADD, and most recently was the Youth Director at First UMC of Colleyville. She made a difference in countless lives and left this world better than it was before. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Christ United Methodist Church at 2807 Valwood Parkway, Farmers Branch, TX 75234. In lieu of flowers, Rachel asked for memorial gifts to any of her favorite charities - Children's Medical Center Dallas, Camp John Marc, Christ UMC or the National Kidney Foundation.
