Ramon J. Esch

Birth: Aug. 25, 1921 in Coppell, Dallas Co., TX
Death: Nov. 1, 2007 in Longview, Gregg Co., TX

Services for Ramon J. Esch, 86, of Longview, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2007, at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel at 1617 Judson Road, with David Cotham and Jerry McCaghren officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2007, at Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville.

Mr. Esch died Thursday morning, November 1, 2007, at his residence.

He was born August 25, 1921, in Coppell, to Henry and Florence Currie Esch. Mr. Esch served with the United States Coast Guard during World War II and was a retired mechanic for Bell Helicopter. A former resident of Colleyville, Mr. Esch had resided in Longview for 20 years, and was a member of the Alpine Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Claudine F. Esch of Longview; his sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Judy Esch of Diana, Ennis and Betty Esch of Raleigh, N.C., and Don and Charlotte Esch of Longview; grandchildren, Barbie Hodges, Lorie Parsons, John Esch, Trey Finley, Rhesa Higgins, Connie Esch, Caryn Esch, Kim Gilbert, Dawn Williamson, Denise Nicholson and Brenda Heichelheim; sisters, Effie Esch of Grapevine, Dorothy Robison of Dallas, Fannie Grizzle of Dallas, and Alice McDaniel of Grand Prairie; brothers, Walter Esch of Alpine, and Richard Esch of Wichita Falls; along with a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
