J. D., was born April 7, 1920 in Dallas, TX and passed away May 4, 2005 in Carrollton, TX. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Noma, sons Richard and wife Pat of Addison, George and wife Cindy, Doug  and wife Dawn, grandson John Ed, granddaughters Emily Elizabeth, Ashley, and Sarah, all of Carrollton, sister Betty Shafer of Dallas and brother John Jay of San Antonio. J.D. served in the United States Marine Corps in WWII. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Carrollton. Service will be held at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Funeral Home on Saturday May 7, 1:30 p.m., with interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 6, 2005 at  Restland Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist of Carrollton, the American Diabetes Association, or the American Kidney Foundation.
