OBITUARY
 
David Paul Fantini
December 23, 1951 - October 8, 2018

David Paul Fantini, age 66 of Dallas, Texas passed away on Monday morning, October 8, 2018 at his residence in Dallas. David was born on December 23, 1951 in Haverhill, Massachusetts, a son of Joseph and Dovie (Adams) Fantini.

He was one of six children and is preceded in death by his mother: Dovie, father: Joseph, and two sisters: Vivian and Mary. He is survived by his brothers Joseph, Michael, Carmen, two Goddaughters: Misty Rangel and Cathleen Fantini Magee, multiple nieces and nephews, and his long time family friend John Michael Kramer (Mikey), many other friends, and his cat Rex.

David attended Maple Lawn Elementary, Vivian Field Jr. High and went on to graduate from R.L. Turn High School.

He was always an ambitious and hard working man. One of his first jobs while in high school was managing a restaurant called "Yankee Doodle." Later he and his mother also owned a restaurant called "Dovie's Café."

He went on to manage the campus cafeterias for Richland and Brookhaven College and then traveled the United States opening many TGI Friday's.

David also had a passion for real estate, giving his brother Joseph & Michael an opportunity to fix and sell them.

David also loved photography, having a dark room built in a couple of his homes to develop his own photos. David was a very loving and supportive son, brother, and friend. He never married and had no children.

His cat Sadie, as you will see in the purple box, will accompany David to his final resting place. David and Sadie both fought and won their battles with kidney cancer together.

A visitation for David will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Calvary Hill North Chapel.

Burial at Calvary Hill Cemetery will follow the mass.

After the committal service, a reception will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.

Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery in Dallas, Texas has charge of arrangements.
