OBITUARY
 
CAROLE HAWKINS FULTON
Age 78, passed away in Farmers Branch, Texas, on March 11, 2007. She was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi on March 14, 1928, to Max and Jewell Hawkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, LaMonte Fulton, of Farmers Branch, son Monte Fulton and wife Mary of Richardson, TX, daughters Jan DiMauro and husband Tony of Sachse, TX, Christi Bledsoe and husband Bob of Argyle, TX, and son John Fulton and wife Cindy of McKinney, TX; grandchildren Yvonne, Carlos, Dwayne, Payge, Tyler, Anthony, Nicholas, Benjamin, Max, Lauren, Chad, Noah, Cooper, and Sam; her aunt, Helen Graves of Dallas; her beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews, including Johnny Hawkins of Boston, MA, Linda Papia of Randolph, ME, Beth Kepp of Geneva Switzerland, Debbie Pickering of Berwyn, IL, Anne Kennedy of Cedar Rapids, IA, Cathy Engels of West Des Moines, IA, and Max Hawkins of Cedar Rapids, IA. Carole was a true "Southern Lady" who cherished her family and many friends. She attended Ole Miss, was a member of Delta Gamma sorority, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA degree in 1950. She began her teaching career at Longino HS in Mississippi, and also taught at Whitehaven HS in Memphis, and Fayetteville HS in Arkansas. She spent the last 25 years of her career as head librarian at R. L. Turner HS in Carrollton, TX, before retiring in 1996. Carole lived life to the fullest and enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling. She especially loved listening to good music and dancing with her beloved husband. She attended Covenant Presbyterian Church in Carrollton and was a regular member of the Lydia Circle of the Women of the Church. She loved the Lord and is welcomed into His presence, "Well done, my good and faithful servant! Enter into the joy of the Lord." Matt.25:21 A memorial service in celebration of her life is scheduled for today, Wednesday, March 14, at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Carrollton TX at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial gifts be sent to either Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, 5005 LBJ Frwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244, or French Camp Academy, One Fine Place, French Camp, MS 39745.
