OBITUARY

Mrs. Carrie Furneaux

Mrs. Carrie L. Furneaux, 95, died at her residence Saturday at 5516 Nakoma.
Born Aug 12, 1864 near Carrollton, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barkley Murphy, Dallas County Pioneers. She was married in 1882 to Joseph H. Furneaux, widely known Texas cattleman who died in 1942.
She was a member of Highland Park Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Huguenot Society.
Survivors, all of Dallas, include a son, William H. Furneaux, two granddaughters, Mrs. John H. Cumby and Mrs. William D. Gowdey; and three great-granddaughters.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Sparkman's Chapel 2115 Ross, with the Rev. Tom Shipp officiating.  Burial will be in the Furneaux family cemetery at Carrollton.
Pallbearers will be John H. Cumby, Fred Furneaux, William B. Gowdey, Sidney F. Green and J. Lee Jackson.
