W. Fred Furneaux

Funeral services for W. Fred Furneaux, 70, of 5347 Surrey Circle, a retired independent cotton broker, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Furneaux died here Thursday.
A lifelong Dallas resident, he was a cotton broker for 34 years before retiring in 1966. From 1922 to 1932, he was manager of the old Dallas Cotton Factors.
He was a graduate of Texas A&M and was a member of the Ross Volunteers and a captain in the Cavalry Shock Troops there. He was an honorary member of the Dallas Cotton Exchange.
Survivors: Wife and a stepson, W. W. Marshall Jr. of Dallas.
