Birthday Celebration
A. C. Fyke, Jr. the little son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Fyke celebrated his fifth birthday Wednesday by entertaining fifteen of his little friends. The afternoon was spent in playing games and after a pleasant afternoon grape juice, animal crackers and ice cones were served the happy youngsters.  The out of town guests were: Lela A., Dorthea and Robert Lee Dennis of Montrose, Mo.

OBITUARY

FYKE
MR. ARCHER CLEVELAND A.C., age 78 of Cumby. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 21, 1997 in the CORNERSTONE BAPTIST CHURCH of Cumby with Masonic services immediately following in the church. Burial will be at the Cumby Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Deteau and the Rev. Harvey Snider officiating. Pallbearers will be Drennon Allen Jr., Phillip Allen, Marc Allen, Don Allen, Leon Higginbotham, Lonnie Getts, Jim Crump, and Riccky Petty. Hoary Pallbearers will be members of the Cumby Masonic Lodge No 180. Memorials can be made to the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Cumby. Mr. Fyke was a retired Master Carpenter and cabin maker with E. Systems in Greenville. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Cumby and a Mason of the Cumby Lodge No 180. He was born on Aug 22, 1918 in Carrollton to Archer Cleveland and Ollie Francis Maxey Fyke. He passed away at 3:25 A.M. Sat. July 19, 1997 in the Baylor Medical Center of Dallas. He married Yvonne Oveta Allen on June 17, 1944 in Dallas, she survives. Other survivors include 1 daughter and son-in-law, Donna & Richard Pennington of Mesquite; 1 daughter-in-law and her husband Wanda Kay and Charley Clampitt of Cumby; 2 brothers-in-law, Drennon & Don Allen; 3 granddaughters, Christie France, Mistie Hale & Janet Pennington; 2 grandsons, Richard Pennington & David Fyke. Cumby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
