OBITUARY
 
Gamble, EARNEST LEE was born 6-27-1925 in Sand Branch, TX to the parentage of Bonner and Birtha Gamble and passed away 9-10-2003 in Carrollton, TX. He attended the Carrollton public schools and completed his high school education in the Richardson public schools (Anderson Bonner). As a youth, he united with Simms Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he was very active. He was inducted into the U.S. Navy and served for three years. Earnest was united in marriage to Faye Shepherd. Three children were born to that union: Margaret Watson, Peggy Gamble, and Ernestine Ivory Gamble all of San Diego, California. He was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers Wilford and Riggs. He is survived by three daughters, one son Cedric Battles of Dallas, TX, one sister Viola Wilbon of Lewisville, TX, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Family will receive friends at Rhoton Funeral Home on Mon., 9-15-2003, from 6:00 TO 8:00 PM. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tues., 9-16-2003, at the funeral home chapel with interment to follow at Lincoln Memorial Park. Dignity Memorial Rhoton Funeral Home I35 at Crosby Rd.
