OBITUARY

Funeral services for Sgt. Barney Zane Gentry, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob Gentry will be held at the First Christian Church Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Norman Conner officiating. Burial will be in Hilltop memorial Park with Rhoton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Sgt. Gentry was killed in France while driving an Army jeep. He was 22 years old and was a graduate of Carrollton High School, Class of 1949.
Survivors include  his parents; twin brother, Wayne; four other brothers, Glyn, Leroy, Hilton, and Royce Gentry; and a sister, Mrs. Avis Chaney.

OBITUARY

Carrollton Airman Killed in Europe

CARROLLTON, Texas. Word has been received by the family of Airman 1/c Barney Zane Gentry, 22 of Carrollton that the young serviceman was killed Friday in a vehicle accident at Orley Field, near Paris, France.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Gentry, and brothers, Glenn, LeRoy and Royse, all of Carrollton; two other brothers, Hilton Gentry, with the United States Navy at Norman Okla., and Wayne Gentry, the deceased's twin, with the Air Force at Lubbock; and a sister, Mrs. Avis Chaney of Carrollton.
The body will be returned to the United States by first available transportation, the parents were informed. Gentry attended  Carrollton schools and was graduated from Carrollton High School.
