Velma Glidewell

Velma Glidewell, 82, of Carrollton died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, in Dallas.

She was born on Sept 13, 1917, in Rusk, to Forney and Mattie Wallace. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Carrollton and a member of the Lancaster Art Club.

Survivors include her husband, C. Lloyd Hogan; sons Ronald Gene Glidewell and John Cleveland Glidewell; daughter Elaine Shields; brother Thomas Heston Wallace; sister Jane Londagin; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Oct. 2 at the Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel and burial was at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home and a Funeral Service on Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton.
