Byron Stetson Good (1890 - 1950), enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War I, and was stationed at Love Field for the duration of the War. He was assigned to the repair depot and soon was chief mechanic at Love Field. he wanted t go overseas to fight, but he was considered too valuable a man to let go. His skill in repair work was so good that any time a difficult repair job was needed, Byron was sent to do it.
He learned to fly and, after the War, became a nationally known stunt flyer. With his friend Harry C. Foster as a partner, they founded the Good & Foster Aeronautical Services Company in 1925 at Love Field, Dallas. Foster was killed later that year and Byron kept the commercial name, Good & Foster. He was very successful in his business and never lost interest in flying.
He was the son of John Allen Good and Mary Ella (Butler) Good. His wife was Ruth Callaway.

Funeral Rites Set Today for Byron Good, 60

Funeral services for Byron Good, 60, a pioneer in aviation in Dallas, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Farmers Branch. The Rev. Gola Bailey will officiate and burial will be near Richardson.
Good died Thursday night in a Dallas Hospital after a 2-year illness. He lived at 5326 Merrimac.
Born in Farmers Branch, Good went to school in Richardson and Ferris and came to Dallas about 1909. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps during World War I and was stationed at Love Field. Although working as a mechanic, he learned to fly in his spare time. After the war he continued to fly when commercial aviation was in experimental stages.
About 1920, he became co-owner of Dallas' first plane chartering company, Good & Foster, which hade its office at Love Field. In 1930 he started working for a contracting firm. Five years later, Good went to work for a furniture company, and in 1942 he became a Lockheed Aircraft employee. He retired two years ago.
He is survived by his wife; three brothers, C. A. Good, Carrollton, and Truett Good, and Oran Good, both of Farmers Branch, and two sisters, Mrs. A. C. Reeves Burkburnett, Wichita County, and Mrs. Flora Rowe, Farmers Branch.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Good, Rex Good and Clarence Good, all of Carrollton; Rutledge Crump, Dallas; J. E. Butler, Farmers Branch, and Delber Brimmage, Addison.
