OBITUARY

Good, Dorothy Jane Ford

Dorothy Jane Ford Good passed away on March 16, 2010 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 96. She is survived by her only daughter Shelley Wright and husband Ken Wright of San Antonio. She is also survived by granddaughter Katie Lu Ahlgren and husband Matt Ahlgren in addition to many nieces and nephews. The Dallas County native grew up in the Webb Chapel area and was a great-granddaughter of Isaac B. Webb who settled what is now Farmers Branch during the 1840's which was originally known as the Peter's colony land grant in the Republic of Texas. Her father, Howard M. Ford was Webb's grandson. Isaac Webb is credited with establishing the first church in Dallas county, Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Dorothy was one of 10 children raised on her family's farm. She also graduated from North Dallas High School. Her working career included bookkeeping and secretarial work. She was an executive secretary for SMU for 20 years. Dorothy married William " Eddie" Edison Good in the 1944 and they were married for 15 years. Private services at Webb Chapel Cemetery are pending.
