OBITUARY

J. F. Good

John Fred Good, 54, of 13860 Birchlawn, Farmers Branch, member of the Dallas County Sheriff's Department 18 years and member of  a pioneer Farmers Branch family, died Monday of a heart attack around 4 p.m. He was dead on arrival at Parkland Hospital.

Mr. Good, who was a mechanic for the sheriff's department, had been with the department the same number of years as Sheriff Clarence Jones, also of Farmers Branch.

Mr. Good was the son of the late William L. and Ida [Ada] Hamilton Good, pioneer Farmers Branch residents. he was born here.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Rhoton-Weiland-Merritt Chapel, Rev. Burdon Smith officiating. Burial was in the Farmers Branch Cemetery.

Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Dorotha Good; two sons, Curtis and Gary Good, and a daughter, Mrs. Roy Marcom, Jr., all of Farmers Branch; and three grandchildren.
