John Oran Good was born March 20, 1938 in Dallas and died June 17, 2021. He attended Carrollton High School and Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps and the marching band. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, and spent his career working at Texas Instruments, DSC, and several defense contractors in the Dallas area.
John was a professional organist who served at many Dallas area churches. He designed and built several greenhouses, sending detailed plans and drawings to family members while stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. When complete, he filled them with orchids. John was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, the American Guild of Organists, the Corvette Club, the Orchid Society, and never missed a performance of the Dallas Bach Society.
