Obituary for Tyler Lee Gordon
Tyler Lee Gordon, 25, of Farmer's Branch, Texas passed away Monday September 16, 2013. He was born on October 21, 1987 in Topeka, Kansas to Larry Gordon and Debra Biddle, the youngest of 2 children. He is survived by his loving parents, his sister Ashley Gordon LoParo and her husband Matt LoParo, stepmother Jennifer Gordon, stepbrother Alex French, grandparents Richard and Bedonna Gordon, 8 aunts and uncles as well as many other relatives and friends.

Tyler was attending ITT Tech, studying to become a CADCAM designer and working his way through school in the deli at Tom Thumb grocery.

His formative years were spent growing up in the countryside near Auburn, Kansas where he fell in love with nature and the outdoors. Dogs, cats and horses were among his childhood pets, along with all the wild creatures he brought home - snakes, turtles, lizards, frogs, toads, tarantulas and birds. He had a special fascination for and love of reptiles. Never a dull moment!

Tyler was a life long camper. Family vacations to state parks were favorites, and he became a Cub Scout then a Boy Scout, attaining the rank of Star. Summer camps in Oklahoma and the Colorado Rockies were special highlights. He loved going canoeing in the spring fed streams of the Missouri Ozarks.

He moved to Texas at age 14 and graduated May 2006 from Hebron High in Carrollton. Tyler was a gifted artist, especially in ceramics. A special senior level honors ceramics class was created just for Tyler and another student, and his creations won top awards.

Tyler loved to play disc golf, or frisbee golf. He won his first award at Octoberfriz disc golf tournament in Winfield Kansas at the age of 14, and several others in later years. His Houston golf friends played the "Tyler Gordon Admiration Round" on September 21st, which will become an annual event to celebrate his life.

Tyler attracted friends like a moth to a flame. He spent his life surrounded by friends drawn to his magnetic personality and infectious sense of fun. His girlfriend Megan Wehr brought him special happiness in the final months of his life.

The family of Tyler Gordon thanks all for the outpouring of remembrances, love and support in this celebration of his life and times.

Visitation will be Friday September 20, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm at Flower Mound Family Funeral Homes, 3550 Firewheel Drive, Flower Mound Texas. His life will be celebrated by family and friends at 2pm Saturday September 21, 2013 at the same address.
