OBITUARY

W. D. Gossett Dies
An aged and highly respected citizen of Farmers Branch, Mr. W. D. Gossett, passed to his reward Sunday evening at 8:30 o'clock after a very short illness. He was stricken Saturday night about 11 o'clock with paralysis and congestion of the lungs and never regained consciousness, but passed away as above stated. Funeral services were held Monday in the Baptist church, Rev. Buckley, pastor of the Methodist church conducting same, and he was laid away in the Farmers Branch cemetery.
Mr. Gossett was born in South Carolina, March 7, 1848, and was nearly eighty years of age at the time of his death. About five years ago he was married to Mrs. Blankenship and they resided for a time on a farm near Farmers Branch, later moving to town and residing there since. The widow is left to mourn his departure and to her the community extend their heartfelt sympathy.
Deceased was a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. He was a true disciple of Christ and at all times let his Christ-like spirit be seen in his daily walks. Beloved by all his neighbors he will be greatly missed in the little town.
