OBITUARY
 
JOSEPH GRAVLEY

DeKALB, Texas—Joseph "Joe" Edgar Gravley, 87, of DeKalb died Friday, March 11, 2016, at his home. Mr. Gravley was born March 22, 1928, in Carrollton, Texas. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Rose Gravley of DeKalb; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. John M. and Deborah V. Gravley of Lafayette, La., and Roy J. and Beth Mae Gravley of Vancouver, Wash.; one brother and sister-in-law, Wilton and Mary Helen Gravley of Dallas; three grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Gravley of Lafayette, La., Lukas Gravley of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Camille Smith-Norton of Texarkana; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates and the Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will be in Hubbard Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Online registration is at batesfamilyfuneralhome.com.
