OBITUARY
 
David Grider
Dec 3, 1949 - Feb 15, 2011

David Lee Grider left us on February 15, 2011 to travel on to his mansion he has awaiting him for a job "well done". David was born December 3, 1949 in Dallas to James and Barbara Grider. He was surrounded by his daughter Katrina Grider Cielo, son-in-law Aurelio Cielo and granddaughter Christina Roberson in Seattle, WA at the time of his passing. They have been caring for him there since 2010. David served his country bravely in Vietnam from 1965-1969. He was always there to volunteer for VFW charities and at Habitat for Humanity. He was always there to help others. David loved to garden and always shared his goods with everyone he knew. David fought a brave fight against a "terminal" brain tumor until the Lord God called him home. He leaves precious memories and an everlasting love and joy to all who knew him. David is survived by a daughter Katrina, son-in-law Aurelio, mother Barbara Grider, brothers Danny and Darrell Grider, sister-in-laws Kim and Wanda Grider, one granddaughter, Christina Roberson and two nephews James and Jodie Grider. He was preceded in death by his father James A. Grider and one nephew Christopher Grider. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, DeBerry Funeral Chapel, interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
