Jack Bransom Grigsby III
Birth Date: December 20, 1962
Death Date: October 1, 2018

Jack Bransom Grigsby III, 55, of Springfield passed away on October 1, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, after a stoic battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born December 20, 1962, in Pasadena, TX to Jack and Patricia (Richardson) Grigsby.

Jack is preceded in death by his father Jack Grigsby, Jr, and his grandparents, Jessie, and Morris Richardson; and Jack Grigsby. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Grigsby, his brother Daniel Grigsby, and many cousins.

Jack joined the Boy Scouts and went on to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. He played the clarinet in the band in high school. He graduated from RL Turner High School in Carrollton, TX. Jack received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas and a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Dallas in Business Management. He continued his education at Devry University, in Irving, TX, where he earned a degree in Accounting. Jack attended Community Group at The Springs Church in Springfield, MO. He was a valued employee of Expedia Group for 11 years where he made many lifelong friends, impacting the lives of his work family. Jack had a contagious smile, a love for 90’s rock, watching sporting events and was quite the connoisseur of ballpark food. Jack enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and new places to eat. Jack has left a lasting memory we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 4th at The Springs Church in Springfield, MO. A graveside visitation will be held at Restland Cemetery, in Dallas, TX on Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 am. Burial will take place immediately following at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jack.
