OBITUARY Willie Mae Grimes
Funeral services for Willie Mae Grimes, 93, of Quitman, Tex., formerly of
Leonard, were to be held Wednesday, Dec. 27,. at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in
Leonard. Burial followed in
Furneaux Cemetery in Carrollton.
She died Friday, Dec. 22, at Heritage Nursing Home in Quitman
Willie Mae Grimes was born May 23, 1913 in Lewisville, the daughter of Landon
Martin and Mary Ellen Walters Martin. She married George Raymond Grimes on Dec.
19, 1927 in Carrollton. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, H.L. Grimes of Leonard, Claude M. Grimes of
Dallas and Carl J. Grimes of Quitman; one daughter, Mary K. Starrett of Prosper;
nineteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson, Scott Grimes
