OBITUARY Carolyn Sue Guynes (1944 - 2009) Services for Carolyn Sue Guynes, 65, of Sherman will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Sherman Bible Church. Dr. John Reed will officiate and burial will follow at the West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Services are under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. She passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009 in Sherman. Carolyn was born on June 13, 1944 the daughter of Arthur and Christene Parr Lacey. She graduated from R.L. Turner High School. Carolyn married John Howard Guynes on April 24, 1965 in Farmers Branch. He preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1999. She worked for Sherman High School for 21 years. Carolyn loved the outdoors, flowers, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She was an active member of the Sherman Bible Church and helped with Sunday School, Nursery and Church Programs. She is survived by her son, Stephen Guynes and wife Amanda of Sherman; daughter, Pamela Guynes of Sherman; grandson, Sean Guynes of Seattle, Wash., and her brother, Larry Lacey of Cleburne. Carolyn is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
