James (Jimmy) Hill
September 23, 1932 - October 19, 2015

James Edward ”Jimmy” Hill was born on September 23, 1932, and went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2015. Jimmy was a 1952 graduate of Carrollton High School and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a dedicated employee in the field of aviation, beginning with Southwest Airmotive, and was retired from Aviall.

Jimmy was a member of First Baptist Carrollton. He will be forever remembered for the joy he had in helping others. He loved visiting with and getting to know people. He loved to travel, and his passion for red Ford trucks is widely known. The joys of his life were family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Zelma Hill; sister, Francis Blake; brother, Thomas Hill; wife, Mary Ann Hill; and daughter, Amy Hill.

He is survived by his wife, Ernesteene Hill; daughter, Carrie Bodle and husband Barry; sons, Jeff Coleman, Scott Coleman and wife Jeanie; grandsons, Phillip Jacobson, Tyler Coleman and wife Tamara; granddaughter, Kelsey Blanton and husband Casy; six great-grandsons, Jacyn, Silas, and Jeff Blanton; J. T., Riley, and Tyler Beau Coleman; nephews, Mike Blake, Tom and Ted Hill, Chris and Chad Robinson.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in The Brooks Family Chapel of North Dallas Funeral Home, 2710 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas 75234.

Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2:30 pm at Hilltop Memorial Park, 1810 N. Perry Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006.
