Willie Joe Hughes

Willie Joe Hughes, age 89, of The Colony, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, May 18, 2017.
She was born October 1, 1927 in New Boston, Texas to Tasso Alexander White and Mary Della Sanderson White. Willie Joe married Leroy Hughes, Jr. on November 28, 1946. He preceded her in death November 12, 2015.

She is survived by her son, Michael Hughes of The Colony, daughters, Shirley Annett of The Colony and Betty Gilliam and her husband, Steve, of DeSoto; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, brothers Bud White of Chino Valley, AZ and Waylen White of Killeen, TX, sister-in-law, Emma White of New Boston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Willie Joe was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Linda Seabolt, eight brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton. Interment will follow at Keenan Cemetery in Farmers Branch, Texas. Reverend Delbert White will officiate the service. The family will received friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home.
