OBITUARY
 Sidney
Jones
Sidney Paul Jones, of Kerens passed away at his home on May 7, 2020 at
the age of 63. He was born in Corsicana on May 21, 1956 to Lena Bell
Jones and Ray Adlee Jones.
Paul attended school in Kerens and graduated from R.L. Turner High
School in Carrolton. Through the years he worked for Fertitex, Big Brown
and General Dynamics and also owned his own cemetery service.
Paul loved to hunt, fish, cook, golf and garden. He also loved his
family and friends. Any one who knew Paul knew he loved to talk and
always had a story to tell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Herman, Ray,
Robert and Carl; sisters, Olivia and Ozell. He is survived by his wife
of 42 years, Cindy; his daughter, Nicole Jones of Kerens and his son,
Zachary and wife Melissa of Kerens; grandchildren, Paxton, Katlyn,
Jothelyn, Christopher, Sean and Caydence. He is also survived by his
sister, Linda Roughton of Corsicana and numerous nieces, nephews and
other family members and a host of friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 2:00pm - 8:00pm Saturday, May 9,
2020 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Service will be
3 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Prairie Point Cemetery with Bob Carroll
officiating.
Pallbearers will be David "Monk" Montgomery, Eddie Nance, Dan Kent,
Heath Reynolds, Nolen Howard, Donnie Ritter, Dale Bankston and Todd
Amick.
