William Kaphengst
September 3, 1933 - May 20, 201

Bill Kaphengst, 81, a highly respected member of his community, was suddenly called home to be with his Lord on May 29, 2015.

Bill was a Servant of his Lord. He proudly walked through his life as a Christian and this showed through in his love for service. His service continued from the U.S. Army, beyond the doors of the Church to his family, to his Community, the Farmers Branch Historical Park and many special friends.

In many ways, Bill was a teacher. He didn't tell anyone how to live, he lived and he let us watch him do it. Many people's lives were touched by him as he shared his knowledge with them so that they, in turn, could share their new found knowledge.

Bill is survived by his loving family, all of whom will miss him terribly. He leaves a strong legacy and many memories full of love and laughter.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 11:00am, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 12411 Templeton Trail, Farmers Branch, TX 75234. Personal expressions of remembrance may be made to The Bill Kaphengst Memorial Fund at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church or to the Friends of the Farmers Branch Historical Park.
